The Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Spinoff Is Dead At ABC

There’s good news and bad news for Marvel fans. Both Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter have been renewed. But the proposed Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. spinoff isn’t going forward.

Deadline is reporting that ABC and Marvel have decided to not go forward with the untitled spinoff that was to feature Adrianne Palicki as Bobbi Morse aka Mockingbird and Nick Blood as Lance Hunter. Both Palicki and Blood were regular cast members who were introduced this season on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but it’s not clear if they will remain with the series for the third season.

The report does note that John Ridley’s potential Marvel TV series is still in development at ABC, but Ridley will also be overseeing the second season of his drama, American Crime.
