Drake Opens New Members-Only Club At Air Canada Centre

According to CTVNews.ca, rapper Drake has opened the doors to his new exclusive members-only club, called Sher Club, which he named after his grandparents.

He announced the club opening over the weekend via Instagram and included a picture of himself standing outside the venue as well as the caption: “Rest in peace to my grandparents Rueben and Evelyn Sher. My grandmother was the first person to ever play catch with me and my grandfather was the biggest sports fan in the world. I opened this club in the memory of both of you. Thank you to the ACC, MLSE, and Ferris. #SherClub #6Side #FightNight

According to blogto.com, Sher is a joint venture between Drake, MLSE, the ACC and high-end architectural designer Ferris Rafauli. The 4000-square-foot space sits on the third floor of the sporting complex. Rafauli said of the project on his website: “Set in the epicentre of our great city, Sher Club represents the most exclusive establishment inside Air Canada Centre, tucked away in an intimate 4,000 sq. ft. space. Fashioned for sports enthusiasts that don’t mind getting lost in a whirlwind of exquisite taste and top-notch service, it’s truly something you must experience.”

Last July Drake announced that his fourth studio album would be called Views from the 6, however he secretly released a different album, If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, on iTunes this past February, garnering major buzz. He worked in collaboration with Cash Money, once again.
