Last night during the season finale of The Walking Dead, AMC offered fans a look at the first teaser trailer for the upcoming spinoff/companion series, Fear The Walking Dead.
The trailer in question was extremely brief and it barely showed any footage at all even though the pilot episode is already in production. AMC didn’t even show any of the cast members from the show.
What was shown was a glimpse of life in Los Angeles just as the first reports of a “strange virus” appear in the media. Fear The Walking Dead is essentially a prequel series to The Walking Dead, so we know it’s going to go bad very quickly in the City of Angels…

Fear The Walking Dead features Cliff Curtis as Sean Cabrera, a divorced teacher in a relationship with Nancy Tomkins, a guidance counselor played by Gone Girl actress Kim Dickens. Frank Dillane plays Nancy’s son, Nick, while Alycia Debnam-Carey plays Nancy’s daughter, Ashley.
AMC has set a summer 2015 debut for the six episode first season of Fear The Walking Dead. The second season of Fear The Walking Dead will premiere in 2016.
