Before writer and artist John Mueller entered the video game industry, he created a comic book series called Oink, which was fully painted and published two decades ago before going out of print.
Oink is the title character of Oink: Heaven’s Butcher, a story that takes place in a dark future where pig-men were created to be slaves of human masters. Oink is a pig-man who threw off the shackles of slavery and dogma to pursue his revenge.
For over four years, Muller digitally remastered Oink with new pages, retouched pages and colors, new lettering and other upgrades. Now, Dark Horse Comics is set to publish Oink: Heaven’s Butcher as a trade paperback on March 18, almost twenty years after the first issue of Oink went to print.
