ICYMI: Jon Stewart Confronts WWE Superstar Seth Rollins on RAW

The Daily Show host made an appearance on WWE Raw Monday night to confront the infamous Seth Rollins and his Mr. Money in the Bank moniker, which resulted in Stewart kicking the WWE Superstar where the sun doesn’t shine.

The face-to-face showdown is the by-product of a recent feud that had the two men exchanging barbs from afar

The match was lit when Rollins proclaimed during a previous WWE Raw “I am the most talented performer in the entire world. I can do whatever I want, whenever I want and there’s nobody or nothing that can stop me. … I could take over as host of The Daily Show for Jon Stewart and make that thing actually watchable.”

Stewart, an admitted longtime wrestling fan, didn’t hesitate to issue a response.

After Rollins appeared on Stewart’s The Daily Show this past week issuing a challenge for the comedian to appear on Monday’s Raw, the stage was set.

Rollins kicked off the segment with a parody of The Daily Show and with a reproduction of the anchor’s set and managed to poke some fun about Stewart’s performance at the Academy Awards and his hometown before Stewart appeared.

Stewart slayed the crowd with an epic put-down of Rollins’ attire when he inferred that he was dressed like a “SWAT team stripper with Lady Gaga’s hair.” However things didn’t get physical until Stewart chided him about not earning his Money in the Bank briefcase that gives him a title shot at any time of his choosing. Rollins grabbed Stewart by the collar before Stewart used his left leg to swing for the fences… or Rollins’ sensitive area, striking a mighty blow before escaping the ring.

The talk show host is retiring this year after 16 years with The Daily Show but he appears to have some potential if he wants to pursue a WWE career. WWE fans will have to wait and see if Stewart will electrify the audience again and culminate this feud at WrestleMania later this month.
