Toronto Men’s Fashion Week Back For Second Year

Toronto Men’s Fashion Week (TOM*) is off and running for its second year, and it’s now the eighth largest Men’s Fashion Week in the world after fashion capitals like Paris, London, New York, Milan, and more.

The event, which will highlight local as well as international fashion labels, takes place hot on the heels of the recent announcement that Toronto Men’s Fashion Week has partnered with Downtown Yonge Business Improvement Area (DYBIA) and moved its Fall/Winter 2015 season presentation to Downtown Yonge. TOM chose the historic landmark College Park (on 444 Yonge Street) as its official event venue to showcase the best in menswear design from established and emerging designers.

“We are thrilled with our partnership with Toronto Men’s Fashion Week,” said Mark Garner, Executive Director for DYBIA, back in January in an official press release. “With Saks Fifth Avenue and Nordstrom coming into the neighbourhood, this could have not come at a better time. Furthermore, it will complement our Fashion On Yonge event in September featuring the other business members in the community. TOM*s presence showcases the evolution of fashion on Yonge Street.”

Canadian menswear designer Christopher Bates flies back from Milan to showcase his Fall/Winter 2015 collection exclusively at TOM* – his collection serves as the grand finale as he closes the final day of runway presentations this season at TOM*. And notable designers HD Homme and Joao Paulo Guedes, winner of the Emerging Menswear Designer Award (EMDA) from season one, are slated to headline the runway presentations on days one and two.

Toronto Men’s Fashion Week runs from February 23rd – March 3rd. Visit their website for a full schedule of events.
