At the beginning of “Arrow” Season 3, former big screen Superman Brandon Routh shook things up as Ray Palmer, the alter ego of the smallest superhero in the DC Universe: The Atom!
Except this Ray Palmer is quite The Atom just yet. Throughout the season, we’ve seen glimpses of Ray’s supersuit, but never the fully finished costume… until now.
The CW has released the first promo image of Routh in costume as The Atom. Although with the body armor, he looks a little bit more like Valiant Comics’ X-0 Manowar than The Atom’s comic book counterpart.
While Ray has mentioned the idea of “making things smaller” on “Arrow,” it’s not clear if The Atom will be able to shrink and change his size immediately. But we do know that Routh will appear in costume for the first time in the fifteenth episode of “Arrow” Season 3.
On top of that, Routh and his “Arrow” co-star, Emily Bett Rickards are set to guest star on “The Flash,” as Ray and Felicity head to Central City to team up with Barry Allen.
“Arrow” Season 3 continues this Wednesday.
