If you’re only a fan of the Thor movies, then you may be a little lost when it comes to Marvel’s Thor relaunch. You see, Thor is now a lady.
Or rather, Thor is no longer worthy of his hammer thanks to something that Nick Fury whispered in his ear while they were on the moon. Now, there’s a presumably new female character who has inherited both Thor’s hammer and all of the powers that go with it.
Needless to say, Thor Odinson is less than pleased that there’s a woman going around with his hammer, his power and his name. And for some reason, Thor Odinson’s new outfit is totally the CW version of his costume.
Marvel has released a first look at Thor # 4, which finds the new female Thor facing off with her very hostile predecessor while Malekith continues his plot with the Frost Giants.
Writer Jason Aaron and artist Russell Dauterman continue the saga of the female Thor in Thor # 4, which hits comic shops on Wednesday, January 28.
