For most of the first season of “Penny Dreadful,” Vanessa Ives (Eva Green), Ethan Chandler (Josh Hartnett), and Sir Malcolm Murray (Timothy Dalton) attempted to find and save Murray’s daughter, Mina from the vampire that took her from them.
They failed.
In the latest teaser trailer for “Penny Dreadful” Season 2, Vanessa and Malcolm say goodbye to Mina as Ethan awakens in the aftermath of his “hairy” reveal from the season finale. Along the way, the immortal Dorian Gray (Reeve Carney) reflects on Vanessa as Caliban (Rory Kinnear) apparently has a chance for love.
Yes, things would be going quite well… if it wasn’t for the tense foreshadowed of the trailer. And before the end of the teaser, a new nemesis is revealed…
