No One Wants To Be Florida’s Jacob Kurtz Right Now

Normally when you’re playing anyone — especially your rival — it’s best not to help them score, especially in the waning seconds.

Of course, Florida’s Jacob Kurtz knows this fact. It didn’t stop him from accidentally tipping in a buzzer-beating shot for bitter rival Florida State Tuesday night.

FSU’s Devon Bookert put up a highly contested 3-point attempt at the buzzer during the tie ball-game. Although it barely found the rim, Kurtz leaped towards the iron before the ball even connected. Instead of what was sure an attempt to collect the final rebound of regulation, the forward’s hands accidentally tipped in the ball for the game-winning shot for the other team with just 0.4 seconds remaining.

FSU won 65-63 and broke Florida’s 5-game win streak.
