‘Community’ Season 6 Adds Paget Brewster & Keith David

Paget Brewster

Two months ago, Yvette Nicole Brown announced her departure from “Community” after Donald Glover and Chevy Chase had left the show in the two previous seasons. But there are some new additions to the cast that may help fill that void.

Yahoo TV is reporting that Paget Brewster and Keith David will be joining the cast of “Community” Season 6. Brewster’s character is Francesca “Frankie” Dart, a consultant hired to “help whip [Greendale Community College] into shape.” David will portray Elroy Patashnik, a retired scientist.

Although Brewster is best known for her role on “Criminal Minds,” she has previously appeared in several sitcoms including the cult classic, “Andy Richter Controls The Universe” as well as guest spots on “Modern Family,” “Friends” and “Two and a Half Men.” Brewster has even appeared on “Community” as a different character.

David most recently had a role on “Enlisted” last season on Fox. However, he has worked extensively on film and TV projects including Platoon, Armageddon, The Thing, They Live, “Touch,” Cloud Atlas and “Gargoyles.”

Joel McHale, Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Alison Brie, Jim Rash and Ken Jeong are confirmed to be returning for the sixth and presumably final season of “Community.” The sixth season will begin filming next week and “Community” will make its debut on Yahoo Screen in early 2015.
