Minimum PC Requirements For Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

For PC gamers, Call of Duty games haven’t always been the benchmark for top-tier visuals. It seems like Sledgehammer is attempting to change that. These system requirements weigh in pretty heavily (as far as minimum requirements are concerned):

  • OS: Windows 7 64-Bit / Windows 8 64-Bit / Windows 8.1 64-Bit
  • Processor: Intel CoreTM i3-530 @ 2.93 GHz / AMD Phenom II X4 810 @ 2.80 GHz or better
  • Memory: 6 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 @ 1GB / ATI Radeon HD 5870 @ 1GB or better
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • Hard Drive: 55 GB available space
  • Sound Card: DirectX-compatible

A whopping 55 gigabyte install, 6GB of RAM, nearly 3GHz late-gen Intel dual core or quad core AMD processor, and a 1GB low-to-mid range video card. But it’s not like you’ll play at any real respectable resolutions or framerates with specs that just barely tip those scales.

Needless to say, you’ll be wanting to be working with a rig that’s at least a few hundred dollars beefier than what that list suggests. If you think that what you’ve got hooked up to your lovely monitor is worthy enough to run Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, then give it a shot. Otherwise, you might want to consider picking up the game for a current-gen console. If PC gaming isn’t your thing, and you haven’t picked up a current-gen console yet, then you can still look forward to the game on PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360. But you should make this your last holiday on last-gen hardware, alright? Next year will bring with it some very lovely new Xbox One and PlayStation 4 games, so make sure to ask Santa for one (or both, if you’ve been extra good).

November 4th is the day you’ll be able to nab Advanced Warfare.

A thank you goes to Crave’s Game Revolution for this story.
