Tim DeKay Opposes Marvel’s ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’

Last season on “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” Grant Ward (Brett Dalton) revealed that his older brother bullied him into terrorizing their younger brother. And in flashback, we learned that Ward had tried to murder his older brother by burning down their house with him in it.

This season, we’re going to meet Ward’s older brother. Zap2it broke the story that “While Collar” star Tim DeKay will be playing Senator Christian Ward. DeKay will make his first appearance on the sixth episode of the second season, with the implication that he will recur in future episodes.

Christian Ward’s presence on the show may be laying the groundwork for Grant Ward’s return to the forefront of the series. During last night’s episode, Glen Talbot (Adrian Pasdar) hinted that a Senator “with deep pockets” was out to get Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg). That could be an early hint of where Senator Ward’s loyalties lie.

Aside from his six seasons on “White Collar,” DeKay is best known for his two season run on HBO’s “Carnivale,” as well as guest appearances on “Body of Proof,” “Hot in Cleveland” and “Chuck.”

The sixth episode of “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” is called “A Broken House” and it will premiere on Tuesday, October 28 on ABC.
