Oh, my.
Every once in a while, a stadium redesign or rebuild catches the attention of the media, whether it’s for good or bad reasons. For example, when the Chicago Bears’ Soldier Field underwent renovations and a major facelift, many people said that it looked like a spaceship had landed within the outer walls of the original stadium (I can confirm this, I went to school a couple blocks away from it and had to look at it nearly every day). It was a big hit or miss for many fans.
Switching gears to the NBA, the Golden State Warriors’ proposed new stadium looks like a place where many of us spend lots of time. In fact, some may even consider this the one place where they have the most precious time to themselves. That’s right:
It looks like a toilet. A porcelain throne. If this goes through, expect to see a record number of bathroom jokes leading up to the stadium’s completion. I’ll leave you with my single contribution to the inevitable joke onslaught:
What do you call a toilet inside this proposed new stadium?
Redundant.
