Comic-Con 2014: We Go ‘Into the Storm’ with Oculus Rift

The Oculus Rift virtual reality headset has become well-known for putting its users in uncomfortably realistic situations, but none of these situations could possibly be more pant-wettingly terrifying than being caught in the eye of a storm. Thankfully, CraveOnline went through this ordeal so you don’t have to.

The Oculus Rift made its way to Comic-Con in order to showcase an impressive “storm simulator” inspired by the upcoming movie Into the Storm. CraveOnline host Erin Darling bravely donned the VR headset and, as you can see in the above video, came away from the experience more than a little shaken up.

Erin also had the chance to speak to Max Deacon and Matt Walsh, two stars of the upcoming action-packed disaster movie, about their roles in the film along with their experiences with the Oculus Rift demo. Check it out.
