Sony’s Mark Cerny Wants to Make Knack 2

Knack wasn’t exactly the greatest of launch titles for the PS4. An old-school 3D platformer in almost every sense of the word, Knack has now mostly been forgotten about after receiving middling reviews from critics and lukewarm reception from consumers, even if it somehow managed to top the sales of the excellent Super Mario 3D World.

Despite this, the PS4’s lead architect and Knack‘s game director Mark Cerny has stated that Knack 2 is a possibility, and that he sees great potential in the series.

Speaking to IGN, Cerny said: “I would love to keep working with the [Knack] brand, definitely. There’s a lot unexplored there, I think anybody who played the game would tell you that!”

Though it’s unlikely that Knack 2 sits at the top of Sony’s list of games that it’s going to put into development, it’s interesting to see that Cerny hasn’t given up on it just yet. It remains to be seen whether Knack 2 will ever actually come into fruition, but if it does, let’s just hope that it’s better than the first one.
