Houston Rockets Put Carmelo Anthony In ‘7’ Jersey, Dis Lin

Knicks guard Carmelo Anthony is the first mega free-agent this summer to go on tour and his visits are already creating quite the stir. 

After visiting the Chicago Bulls Tuesday, Melo moved on to Houston Wednesday where the franchise pulled out every stop, including images of the star on super-sized posters and video boards donned with a Rockets jersey featuring his number 7. 

Creative stunt, yes. However, Jeremy Lin, the Rockets’ current point guard already wears number 7.

Considering Lin’s current status with the team is in limbo, the point guard wasn’t thrilled about the move. 

Melo visits the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday.
