NXNE Wraps Up For Another Season

The 20th edition of NXNE wrapped up this weekend after 10 days of music, art, film, comedy, and interactive exhibits – but not before they celebrated one last Sunday line-up of events.

Acts like The Lytics played on the Ryerson campus, and in Younge-Dundas Square Juicy J performed. The DIY Label & Art Fair also took place at Edward Day Gallery, and Courtney Barnett finished up her three-night residency. For NXNE Comedy the Laugh Sabbath Film Festival was on the bill, and the I HEART JOKES Awards were handed out. Simon Amstell was at The Great Hall, while another comedy show took place at Studio Bar.

Finally, for NXNE Art, the NXNE Art Lounge was showcasing 24 | Toronto, an interactive video installation, and also at the Art Lounge and continuing with the Toronto + numbers theme was Norm Li and Alex Josephson’s Toronto: 20Whatever.

The 21st edition of North By Northeast is already in the works for summer 2015.
