Clark Gregg Wants Coulson To Meet Daredevil & Iron Fist

Clark Gregg’s Phil Coulson is the face of Marvel’s TV initiative and the leading character of “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” on ABC. While Coulson originated as the everyman S.H.I.E.L.D. agent that linked Iron Man and Thor to The Avengers, Gregg recently stated his desire to see the newly promoted, Director Coulson pop up in one of Marvel’s original series for Netflix.

Gregg told Movie Pilot that “I’d be really disappointed if I don’t get to show up in New York for Daredevil, or Iron Fist was a huge favorite of mind in comic books as a kid. I’ve had more than my share so I shouldn’t be greedy but it would be a huge geekout moment for me if I got to meet Daniel Rand.”

Although Coulson was killed in The Avengers before being revived for television, Gregg seemed to indicate that he won’t be in the upcoming sequel, The Avengers: Age of Ultron.

“I think I would have heard about it by now,” explained Gregg. “But I must say as a qualifier, the only way I ever hear about stuff like that is I get a weird phone message with not the right number of numbers on it and somebody says, ‘We need to talk to you.’”

“Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” will return to ABC this fall, while “Daredevil” will begin filming in July for a 2015 release on Netflix.
