In Case You Missed It: Heat Lose Game 1 To Pacers

No, Miami, you may not panic.

It was just two weeks ago we were wondering if the Pacers could make it out of the first round of the playoffs, and now the Jekyll and Hyde team stole Game 1 at home — big whoop. It’s the sixth consecutive time the Heat have lost a Game 1 away to begin a series.

The Pacers won Sunday 107-96. Paul George led the way with 24 points. LeBron had 25 points.

Highlights

And here is what LeBron James and Dwyane Wade had to say following the loss. They talk about their breakdowns but I don’t necessarily hear panic in their voice… Because they’re the two-time defending champion Miami Heat….

Post Game Interviews

Although a fun factoid from ESPN Stats:

This is only the 3rd Conference Finals rematch over the last 20 years. In the previous two instances, the winner of the first meeting went on to lose the rematch. The last team to win consecutive Conference Finals against the same opponent were the Pistons in 1989-90 (defeated Bulls).

So maybe Pacers fans should be popping the cork??

Nah.
