Adrian Pasdar Will Play Glenn Talbot on ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’

Although Adrian Pasdar is well known for his role in NBC’s comic book inspired series “Heroes” and his vocal performances in several of Marvel’s animated series, he’s about to enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a big way.

Marvel has announced that Pasdar will appear as Major Glenn Talbot on “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” later this season. Talbot first appeared in Marvel’s Tales To Astonish back in 1964 as the right hand man of General “Thunderbolt” Ross and an adversary of Bruce Banner and Banner’s alter ego, the Hulk. Josh Lucas portrayed Talbot in Ang Lee’s 2003 Hulk film, but Talbot was notably absent from Marvel’s 2008 reboot, The Incredible Hulk

While speaking with Marvel.com, Pasdar indicated that  Talbot may be on for more than one episode. “As willing as I am to jump when Jeph [Loeb] calls, there had to be a little bit more in it than just an episode for me,” said Pasdar. “So I can’t say much more but the mustache is in a locker and it’s being taken out and prepped as we speak for next week. Every show needs a jerk, [and] I guess I’m that guy. I make everybody else look so nice. I think it was Walt Disney who said it, ‘The show’s only as good as the bad guy is bad.’”

Pasdar is currently the voice of Iron Man/Tony Stark in the  “Avengers Assemble” and “Ultimate Spider-Man” animated series. Pasdar has previously appeared in Near Dark, Carlito’s Way, and The Last Good Time. On television, Pasdar has starred in the cult classic “Profit” and guest starred in “The Outer Limits,” “Castle,” “Burn Notice” and “Desperate Housewives.”

Marvel did not reveal the episode of “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” in which Pasdar will make his debut as Talbot, but it will definitely come before the end of the season.
