The CW’s ‘iZombie’ Adds Three Cast Members

Last month, The CW formally ordered a pilot for “iZombie,” based upon the DC/Vertigo comic book series created by Chris Roberson and artist Mike Allred<. While the main character has not yet been cast, three of the supporting roles have already been filled.

Deadline is reporting that Malcolm Goodwin (pictured above) has landed the co-lead on “iZombie,” with Alexandra Krosney and David Anders also signing on for the pilot. In the original comic, “iZombie” followed Gwendolyn Price, a young zombie who could pass as an ordinary human as long as she ate at least one brain per month.

For the potential “iZombie” TV series, Gwen is now called Liz, and she is a medical student who gains memories from the brains that she is forced to eat in order to maintain her semblance of humanity. Liz works alongside Clive (Goodwin), a homicide detective who uses her ability to help him solve murder cases

Krosney will play Live’s roommate, Peyton, who has noted Liv’s increasingly bizarre behavior. Anders will portray Blaine, “an entitled rich kid who bites off more than he can chew in the drug business.”

Goodwin was previously one of the costars in “Breakout Kings,” in addition to his turns in “Blue Bloods,” “Detroit 1-8-7” and “K-Ville.” Krosney’s credits include “Last Man Standing,” “Nikita,” “Psych” and “Bones.” Anders is perhaps best known for playing Mr. Sark on “Alias,” but he has also recurred on “The Vampire Diaries” and “Once Upon a Time.”

The role of Liz has not yet been cast, but “iZombie” is expected to begin production soon.
