NBA All-Star Weekend: Top 10 Slam Dunks of All Time

Seattle, Slam Dunk Contest — Kiss the Rim

It was MJ’s first masterful display of dunking on a national stage. With his mouth seemingly at rim level as he soared to the basket like a super hero, this dunk plastered Jordan upon posters in bedrooms for decades to come.

Los Angeles, Slam Dunk Contest — Double dunk on two baskets

McGee hasn’t been known for being the most coordinated player, which makes this dunk even more amazing — add to the originality and McGee almost makes our top five.

LA Slam Dunk Contest – Choir, Jumps Over Kia

Griffin is without a doubt one of the best dunkers we’ve seen in the past decade. His amazing strength paired up with his nearly unprecedented vertical jump were possibly never displayed better than when he shocked Staples Center in ’11 by jumping over a car — and as many competitors do — making it look easy. Whether or not the choir singing “I Believe I Can Fly” actually helped Griffin or not is debatable. However, if they give hops like that, we’re putting that song on repeat the next time we play.
