Chris Brown can dance, but is he a sponge. According to his co-stars in Battle of the Year… yeah, kinda. The platinum-selling recording artist had one of his biggest movie roles to date in Battle of the Year, a movie about an ragtag group of misfits who team up to win the world’s biggest B-Boy competition. If that sounds a lot like the documentary Planet B-Boy, then well observed! Both films were made by the same director, Benson Lee.
In this CraveOnline Exclusive preview of the Battle of the Year Blu-ray special features, Chris Brown talks about the challenging dance choreography he had to learn over the course of the film, and his co-stars reveal that Chris Brown learned every move incredibly quickly – so much so that he was almost sponge-like – even though he may not have learned them perfectly.
