A policeman and Liverpool fan shot his friend in the chest after being taunted over the club’s loss to Arsenal.
The unnamed cop has been arrested after he reportedly become enraged when his friend, a Manchester United fan, began jibing him after Liverpool’s 2-0 Premier League defeat to Arsenal on Saturday (November 2nd).
The attack occurred in Durban, South Africa, just after the final whistle had been blown. An eye witness reports that while being mocked, the police captain pulled out his gun, shouted “Manchester United, who?” before firing a bullet at his friend’s chest.
His friend was then rushed to hospital, and has survived the ordeal but remains in police guard. The policeman is being charged with attempted murder.
