‘24: Live Another Day’ Will Film In London

Three years ago during the series finale of “24,” Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) found himself on the run from his own government. When the much anticipated miniseries “24: Live Another Day” premieres next year, the action will pick with Jack in Europe.

Fox has announced that “24: Live Another Day” will be filmed in London and the story will be set in Europe. This is the second time that “24” has been filmed outside of the United States. The TV movie 24: Redemption was shot in South Africa.

“24: Live Another Day” co-showrunner and executive producer Evan Katz hinted at the new story in a statement released by Fox. “Four years ago, we left Jack (Sutherland) a fugitive from justice and we’re going to pick him up four years later in London.” Co-showrunner Manny Coto added “Jack is soon back on the run and it takes us into the streets of London and in places that break new ground for the show. We’ve shot in New York, Washington, Los Angeles and Cape Town — but now we’re in London and Jack’s loose on the streets of Europe, hunted by and hunting bad guys.”

For his part, Sutherland said  “24 has always had such a global sensibility. But to be able to tell this intense 24-style story with the beauty of Europe’s history and architecture as the backdrop is going to be fascinating.”

Mary Lynn Rajskub is set to reprise her role as Chloe O’Brian, while Kim Raver is in negotiations to reprise her role as Jack’s former lover, Audrey Raines.

“24: Live Another Day” will premiere on Fox in May 2014 for a 12 episode run.
