The Pittsburgh Pirates hadn't won a playoff game in 21 years… Until last night.
That's right, the last time the Pirates held a victory in any sort of playoff game George Bush senior was in office and Barry Bonds was still skinny.
In defeating the Reds in the one-game Wildcard playoff Tuesday night (earning the right to play the St. Louis Cardinals in the NLDS), fans went wacky.
Below is video of Pirates fan Dean Pasztor, who decided it would be appropriate to strip down into his underwear and leap 40-feet off the Roberto Clemente Bridge into the Allegheny River.
According to reports, bystanders said that police watched the event take place but didn't take action. Pasztor swam to safety and wasn't hurt or arrested.
I hope the Cardinals win the NLDS. If they don't, Pittsburgh could burn itself to the ground.
