Mariano Rivera Emotional In Yankees Send-off

Dangit. As someone who's been against the Yankees nearly their entire lives, do you know how hard it was to try to ignore this video? Well, I finally caved in…and I'm glad I did. It's one hell of a send-off for the greatest relief pitcher in the history of the game.

Mariano Rivera pitched for the last time on the mound at Yankee Stadium Thursday night. Not only was the final entrance epic, but Joe Girardi's decision to send out Andy Pettitte and Derek Jeter to grab the future Hall-of-Famer before his last out was the most mindful decision of the night, to say the least.

There's something about watching a grown man become emotional that tugs at anyone's heart strings. Rivera is a man that's treated New York with championships and dominance over nearly two decades. Baseball has been his entire life. Now, it's time to say goodbye. It moment couldn't have been written any better.
