Sarah Clarke Is In AMC’s ‘Line of Sight’

Back in April, AMC ordered a pilot for “Line of Sight,” a new potential series that could be the network’s first sci-fi drama. And now the first performer for “Line of Sight” has finally been announced.

Deadline is reporting that Sarah Clarke has been signed as the female lead of “Line of Sight.” Created by Blake Masters, “Line of Sight” follows a man named Lewis Bernt, a NTSB investigator who survives a harrowing plane crash before launching an “emotionally disorienting quest” to discover what caused the accident.

Clarke will portray Lewis’ wife, Dot, a character that is described as “an emotionally complicated woman trying to save her marriage and the life with her husband.” Clarke is best known for playing Nina Myers on the first three seasons of “24” in addition to her role in The Twilight Saga and the leading role in “Trust Me.” Clarke has also appeared in “Las Vegas,” “Commander In Chief,” “Life,” “Nikita” and “Covert Affairs.” Clarke will also be a recurring cast member on the CW’s new drama, “The Tomorrow People.”

The Silence of the Lambs director Jonathan Demme is slated to helm the pilot episode of “Line of Sight.” If “Line of Sight” goes to series, it would likely debut in 2014.
