Battered and worn…that’s what comes to mind after the first look at Marvel’s new teaser poster for the upcoming Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Cap’s proud shield looks a little worse for wear here — maybe a little indication of the trials the first Avenger (Chris Evans) will have to face when he squares off against presumed dead former sidekick Bucky, now the brainwashed super assassin the Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan).
If the lone symbol isn’t enough to get you psyched for the film’s April 4, 2014 release, rest assured — you can all but bet the farm on a whole host of new Cap news to be unleashed at the Marvel movies panel at Comic-Con 2013 on Saturday, July 20. But until then, enjoy the poignant image in all its scratched and battle-scarred glory.
