BBC Reveals ‘Doctor Who’ Season 7 Finale Title & Poster

During the sixth season finale of “Doctor Who,” the Doctor (Matt Smith) was warned that “on the fields of Trenzelor, at the fall of the Eleventh, when no living creature can speak falsely or fail to answer a question will be asked—one that must never be answered.”

And the question of course was “Doctor who?”

While that storyline seemed like it could have been saved for the end of Smith’s time as the Doctor, BBC has revealed that the upcoming season 7 finale will deal with this story head-on. The final episode of the season will be called “The Name of The Doctor” as “Someone is kidnapping the Doctor’s friends, leading him towards the one place in all of time and space that he should never go.”

“The Name of Doctor” also marks the return of Alex Kingston as River Song, with Madame Vastra (Neve McIntosh), Jenny (Catrin Stewart) and Commander Strax (Dan Starkey) making their third appearances of the season. The episode is also rumored to feature new aliens called the Whispermen.

BBC has also released movie style posters for the final four episodes of the season:
