Elizabeth Mitchell & Daniella Alonso Join NBC’s ‘Revolution’

NBC’s newest genre show has just made two new additions to the cast.

Deadline is reporting that Elizabeth Mitchell and Daniella Alonso have signed on to “Revolution” as regulars. Created by Eric Kripke (“Supernatural”) and executive produced by J.J. Abrams, “Revolution” takes place in the near future after a mysterious event wipes out all forms of energy.

The focus of “Revolution” is on Mikes (Billy Burke), the leader of a small band of survivors attempting to make their way in the new world. Mitchell will step into the role of Rachel Matheson, who was portrayed by Andrea Roth in the pilot episode. Rachel is mother of Charlie Matheson (Tracy Spiridakos) and Danny Matheson (Graham Rogers), but she will only appear in flashback sequences.

Alonso will play Nora, a rebel fighter who is attempting to take down the militia in charge of North America. The report also notes that Nora has some unpleasant history with Miles.

Mitchell is perhaps best known for her roles as Juliet Burke on “Lost” and FBI Agent Erica Evans on the “V” reboot, in addition to film roles in The Santa Clause series, Gia, “ER,” “Time of Your Life,” “House” and “The Beast.”

Alonso has previously appeared in “Friday Night Lights,” “My Generation,” “One Tree Hill” and “Stargate Atlantis” in addition to feature films like Wrong Turn 2: Dead End, The Hills Have Eyes 2 and The Collector.

“Revolution” will debut on NBC on Monday, September 17.
