Kevin Costner Returns to Westerns in ‘Django Unchained’

Kevin Costner is known for two things: baseball movies and westerns. Well, Quentin Tarantino don’t want him to play no baseball. Costner is currently in negotiations to join Django Unchained as Ace Woody, the man who trains Leonardo DiCaprio’s slaves to fight to the death.

It’s… a little against type. But on the upside, this role combined with his appearance as ‘Pa Kent’ in Zack Snyder’s upcoming Man of Steel Superman reboot could mark a career renaissance for the stalwart actor, who of late has been relegated to smaller roles in film’s like the little-seen drama The Company Men.

Costner of course joins Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz and the aforementioned Leonardo DiCaprio in Quentin Tarantino’s crazy-ass western, which will apparently start shooting damned soon.

CRAVE Online will return with more Django Unchained news as soon as we sell our stock in those chains (apparently they’re not very well made).
