Pop Quiz: What do you get when you put Brie Larson, Armie Hammer, Sharlto Copley, Cillian Murphy, Sam Riley, Jack Reynor and Noah Taylor in a dilapidated building with lots and lots of LOTS of guns?
That’s easy. The answer is Free Fire, a new action-thriller with an all-star cast from director Ben Wheatley (High-Rise), a festival favorite that’s finally making its way to theaters in America on April 21st. It’s a film based around one, non-stop shootout and that means it’s practically experimental cinema by Hollywood standards.
William Bibbiani and Witney Seibold, the host of The B-Movies Podcast, sat down with Ben Wheatley earlier today on Facebook Live to find out all about the making of Free Fire, and also get updates about Ben Wheatley’s upcoming films The Wages of Fire (a remake of one of the most suspenseful motion pictures ever made) and Hard Boiled (an adaptation of the sci-fi comic book by Frank Miller and Geoff Darrow).
