Comic-Con 2016 | We Talk to The Women of ‘Dark Matter’

The situation is rapidly changing on Syfy’s Dark Matter now that season 2 has arrived! The crew is a man down after the shocking events of the second season premiere. And in his place is a new leading lady, Nyx, as played by Melanie Liburd. But whether Nyx can truly join the crew of the Raza remains to be seen.

At San Diego Comic-Con International, CraveOnline caught up with three of the leading ladies from Dark Matter: Melissa O’Neil (Two), Jodelle Ferland (Five), and Liburd for an exclusive interview as they discussed the new dynamic on the ship, the mutual respect between Two and Nyx, the upcoming revelations about their respective backstories, and Five coming into her own as a young woman later this season. O’Neil, Ferland, and Liburd also share what they have been up to since the second season wrapped filming, as they await word on the potential third season order from Syfy.

For anyone new to the show, Dark Matter follows a crew of mercenaries who awoke from hibernation without any of their memories or personalities intact. At least one member of the crew wasn’t who they claimed to be, and another was a traitor waiting in the wings. At the end of the first season, the traitor stood revealed when the crew was captured. But now, the survivors are once again free, with numerous enemies gunning for their heads as they try to make their way through the galaxy.

The second season of Dark Matter airs Friday nights on Syfy.
