Injustice 2 Trailer Revealed, Will Allow Players to Customize DC Heroes and Villains

The Injustice 2 trailer has been revealed, unveiling Warner Bros. and Netherrealm Studios’ sequel to the popular DC fighting game Injustice: Gods Among Us.

The trailer depicts a collection of DC heroes, including the newly announced Supergirl, battling it out in a darkened arena, with each of them boasting a significantly greater amount of armor this time around. It appears that Batman’s outfit has taken a few cues from Batman vs. Superman, too, with him having a hint of “Battfleck” about his appearance.

Warner Bros. announced that the game will boast the “biggest DC roster ever offered in a fighting game,” including the addition of new villains Atrocitus and Gorilla Grodd. Those who have downloaded the Injustice: Gods Among Us mobile game can also now unlock Injustice 2 versions of  Superman and Aquaman via the in-game Challenge Modes.

Creative director Ed Boon also revealed that Injustice 2 would allow players to customize the DC heroes and villains featured in the game, saying: “In Injustice 2, we are introducing new features that will change the way fans play fighting games. We’re always interested in pushing the genre forward and allowing players to customize and level-up their favorite DC Super Heroes and Super-Villains is a significant leap.”

The game is scheduled for release in 2017. Watch the trailer below:
