Victorian Premier Shares Photo Of State’s First Crop Medical Marijuana, Punters Offer Grow Tips

Seems our country’s politicians have got the reefer madness, as Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews has posted a photo of the state’s first medical marijuana crop, outdoing Casino Mike Baird‘s recent application for a license to grow.

Posting to Facebook the Premier wrote that he was giving us “an exclusive look at how our medicinal cannabis crop is progressing.”

Adding that “planted in April, it’s been tested, sampled and will be ready to harvest in just two months’ time”, he promised that “in 2017, we’ll make this life-saving treatment available to the sick kids who need it most.”

Still Aussies being Aussies and always wanting to chip in when they see someone struggling, there were some cheeky punters who wanted to offer the government some grow tips on who to beef up their buds. Although not everyone was so helpful.

Of course, that wasn’t the end of the funny stuff, with one commenter grilling Andrews’ ‘testing’, with the Premier himself even wading in to the comments to fire back a snappy response.

Access to Medicinal Cannabis Bill 2015 was pushed through Victorian Parliament by Andrews, who has also vowed to deliver the full Safe Schools program (not the watered down version that we owe to Cory Bernardi and company), and has just generally been a legend.
