Watch The New Trailer For ‘Batman: The Killing Joke’

“I’ve been thinking lately. About you and me. About what’s going to happen to us, in the end. We’re going to kill each other, aren’t we? Perhaps you’ll kill me. Perhaps I’ll kill you. Perhaps sooner. Perhaps later. I just wanted you to know that I’d made a genuine attempt to talk things over and avert that outcome. Just once.” – Batman

The time for talk is over, and The Killing Joke is here! Long rumored to be in the works, the animated adaptation of Alan Moore and Brian Bolland’s classic graphic novel, Batman: The Killing Joke is coming this summer as the Joker gets an origin story while attempting to prove a point to the Dark Knight. It only takes “one bad day” to create a madman, and the Joker is going to demonstrate by destroying Commissioner James Gordon and his daughter, Barbara Gordon!

Warner Bros. has dropped a new trailer for Batman: The Killing Joke, and it features several iconic moments from the comic, including Batman’s quote from above, Gordon’s descent into the living hell of the Joker’s playhouse, and a very chilling moment in which Barbara and the Joker come face-to-face. Yes…they are really going there. The Killing Joke is widely seen as one of the darkest Batman stories of all time, and the producers of this film have delivered an R-rated film to recreate it almost exactly.
