Someone Tried To Sell ‘Bag Of Air’ From Kobe’s Last Game On Ebay

Yup. What you see above is a real screen capture of what was being sold on Ebay before being taken down in the last 24 hours. Someone actually tried to sell a ‘bag of air’ from Kobe’s last game

What’s crazier is what people were willing to pay for said bag air. $15,000? Are you kidding me?!

This is how the sale allegedly read, via SportsGrid:

“KOBE BRYANT LAST GAME USED BAG OF AIR SIGNED BY KOBE BRYANT ON APRIL 13TH 2016 AT STAPLES CENTER. I BOUGHT THIS FROM A GUY OFF OF CRAIGSLIST.THE AUTOGRAPH LOOKS AUTHENTIC TO ME,JUDGE FOR YOURSELF.THIS IS YOUR CHANCE TO OWN THIS AMAZING COLLECTIBLE.THE BAG READS KOBE BRYANT LAST GAME USED AIR AUTOGRAPH BAG STAPLES CENTER 4-13-16 60 PTS.DUE TO THE SCARCITY,I WILL BE ACCEPTING REASONABLE OFFERS ONLY.THIS IS BY PAYPAL ONLY. GOOD LUCK BIDDING.”

CBS Sports got this screen capture of the bidding:

The Sporting News had this genius reaction:

I’m not even going to explain  …It’s just … I’m just…. ahhhhh, forget it.

I know the Crave audience is exponentially more intelligent than the average sports fanatic. Just don’t ever buy ‘air’ for novelty purposes, folks.

Endless gratefulness to Ebay for pulling the item off their site. Oy vey.
