The Weeknd Cancels Tour With Rihanna
The Weeknd, who was scheduled to perform on Rihanna’s Anti Tour, has cancelled because of “scheduling conflicts,” according to The Canadian Press.
“Due to some unforeseen changes with upcoming projects, the Weeknd will no longer be joining Rihanna on her upcoming international Anti World Tour,” the concert organizer said in an email.
The Weeknd was supposed to make an appearance during the European leg of Rihanna’s tour. Winning two Grammy Awards and receiving one Academy Award nod this year, The Weeknd has been riding a steady wave of successes. His last album, Beauty Behind the Madness (2015), had a track that was a part of the 50 Shades of Grey soundtrack. Meanwhile, Rihanna’s Anti World Tour is her seventh tour – it kicked off in Jacksonville on March 12th (after a three-week delay) and will end in Chelmsford, England this August.
