The Cyanide and Happiness Card Game is the Best Idea Ever

Creators of popular web comic Cyanide and Happiness have launched a Kickstarter project for their brand new tabletop card game Joking Hazard, and it’s basically the best idea for a tabletop card game ever.

Joking Hazard, which has currently amassed nearly $700,000 on crowdfunding site Kickstarter despite its comparatively inexpensive goal of $10,000, takes its cues from other comedy-focused card games such as Cards Against Humanity and Exploding Kittens, but with players instead being tasked with “completing an awful comic strip.”

Each card effectively serves as a panel, with players each drawing a panel to complete a comic strip and an alternating judge awarding the player whose panel they found most hilarious with a point. It’s simple, but for those who have played similar games, you’ll know that this has the potential to be the ultimate crowdpleaser at any gathering you have in the foreseeable future, especially considering the talent minds at Explosm are behind it.

The game is expected to start shipping this November, with $25 being the minimum donation you can make to get your hands on a Joking Hazard deck. Larger pledges can also receive rewards such as a limited edition boxed and autographed edition of the game, a lipstick “smooch” on their game’s box from its creators, and booster packs/posters.
