Jose Mourinho Has Allegedly Signed Manchester United Agreement

Jose Mourinho has reportedly signed an agreement with Manchester United, as he is allegedly set to take over the role of manager from Louis van Gaal.

This report comes via Spanish outlet El Confidencial, with it claiming that Mourinho will be joining Manchester United with “100% certainty”. While many believe he will replace Van Gaal in his role at the club, with the Dutchman failing to impress supporters as Man U continue their underwhelming season, nothing has been made official as of yet.

But while El Confidencial reports that Mourinho has already signed an agreement, Sky Sports pundit Guillem Balague  has stated that while this is not the case, Mourinho is “convinced” he will be given the role. Balague said: “The deal is not done, there is no deal in place. Mourinho is convinced it will happen and quite clearly he wants it. I don’t think Manchester United have decided what’s happening next season.

“Look at Victor Valdes. His contract expires in the summer and clearly Louis van Gaal doesn’t want him, so they could just let him go. But the fact they haven’t means there is a question mark over Van Gaal.”

If Mourinho is given the job at Man U, this means that he will be likely go toe-to-toe with Pep Guardiola in the Premier League, the Bayern manager who will be taking over Manchester City in the summer. This would be an exciting outcome for the derby rivals, with Guardiola’s appointment having led many Man U fans to push for Mourinho to replace Van Gaal.
