Deadpool Does His Best Aussie Accent In Special Australia Day Message

In the lead up to Australia Day 2016, cheeky AF superhero Wade Wilson (aka Deadpool) has released a very special message for all Australians, complete with actor Ryan Reynolds‘ pretty solid ‘Strayan accent.

Deadpool’s Australia Day message (below) sees the antihero explain how easily he’d fit in if he lived down under, given Australia’s “shady criminal past” and “predilection for blackout drinking”.

Touché.

After throwing some shade at Wolverine (not Hugh Jackman, thankfully, just the Wolverine movies), old mate Pool freaks out at the corks hanging off his hat, which is fair enough; those cork hats don’t really get any less weird each time you wear one.

Prior to his Australia Day message, Deadpool had already threatened our collective sphincters in a teaser trailer, but no sphincters are threatened (or harmed) in his special Australia Day transmission.

Set for local release on 11th February, the Deadpool movie tells the story of Wilson’s beginnings as a Special Forces operative who is left with super-quick healing powers after an experiment mishap. With his twisted sense of humour in tow, Pool goes on a search for the man who almost destroyed his life.
