Watch Eagles of Death Metal Join U2 Onstage in Paris, Their First Return To The Stage

Eagles Of Death Metal put their dancin’ shoes back on and joined U2 onstage Monday night, in an emotional return to Paris following the terrorist massacre at the Bataclan concert hall which killed 90 people.

“They were robbed of their stage three weeks ago and we would like to offer them ours tonight,” said Bono as he hugged the band’s frontman Jesse Hughes.

The crowd roared their loving approval, and sang along as the groups joined together for a version of the classic Patti Smith protest anthem “People Have The Power”. U2 then left the stage and EODM performed “I Love You All The Time,” telling the crowd: “Thank you Paris – we love you. We will never give up rocking and rolling.”

Their return performance marked the first time EODM have taken the stage since the Bataclan attacks, and was held on the banks of the River Seine – not far from the 11th arrondissement.

Following their appearance, the US rock band released a statement on Facebook, and said “music will always overcome terror and evil”.
