AMC Announces Better Call Saul Season 2 Premiere Date

Slippin’ Jimmy is coming back!

Last season on AMC’s Better Call Saul, fans were introduced to Bob Odenkirk’s Jimmy McGill, the man fated to become Walter White’s “criminal lawyer” on Breaking Bad. But unlike his Breaking Bad persona, Jimmy quickly proved to have a good heart to go along with his occasionally devious ways of getting ahead.

The problem is that no one seems to have much use for Jimmy in his current form. His beloved brother, Chuck (Michael McKean) sabotaged Jimmy’s best chance for redemption and a shot at his dream job. Now Jimmy has come to a fork in the road and decided that he’s done trying to do the right thing.

AMC has revealed that the second season of Better Call Saul will premiere on Monday, February 15, opposite the Grammy Awards on CBS. Returning cast members include Rhea Seehorn as Kim Wexler, Patrick Fabian as Howard Hamlin, Michael Mando as Ignacio “Nacho” Varga, and Jonathan Banks as Mike Ehrmantraut, a character he originated on Breaking Bad.

“Jimmy McGill’s journey takes surprising, left-handed turns in season two of Better Call Saul,” said Better Call Saul co-creator Peter Gould in a statement. “He goes to places we’d never, ever expected. As for Mike Ehrmantraut, he’s pulled deeper into a world he was sure he’d left forever. We can’t wait to share the next chapter of Better Call Saul with the fans who have embraced the show.”

Story details about Better Call Season 2 have not been disclosed, but it has been revealed that the second season will match the 10 episode order of the first season.
