Pedro “Regrets” Moving to Chelsea and “Wants to Return to Barcelona”

Pedro reportedly already wants out at Chelsea, with him allegedly telling friends that he hopes Barcelona will buy him back in the summer transfer window as the Premier League team continues to struggle with form.

The forward was brought in by manager Jose Mourinho in August for a transfer fee of £21 million, moving away from the La Liga giants to the English league champions. However, after a promising debut Pedro has followed the lead of his teammates, failing to net the club the points expected of them. This has now reportedly led to Pedro becoming disillusioned with his new home, with him said to be looking to swiftly move away from them.

This speculation was posted by Spanish football site Fichajes.net (via Daily Express), who claim that the Spaniard has spoken to those close to him about leaving Chelsea and hopefully moving back to Barcelona. While he previously left Barça due to receiving a lack of playing time, it is said that Chelsea’s awful start to this season has led to him regretting the move.

While Pedro may well be looking to cut his losses and leave Chelsea, it seems unlikely that he’d consider a move back to Barcelona an option, with him not having been a prominent first-team player for the La Liga outfit.

Mourinho claimed yesterday that those who had suggested his players were turning against their manager were proven wrong during the club’s league cup defeat against Stoke, branding the press “stupid” for believing that the Chelsea changing room was revolting against him. However, if this report is to be believed then it seems that at least one member of his squad isn’t comfortable with the results the club has been producing.
