The Monsters Are Coming in New Promo For The X-Files Miniseries

The original version of The X-Files had a lot of monster-of-the-week episodes to go along with its alien invasion mythology episodes. The upcoming six episode revival of The X-Files will also have at least four stand-alone monster centric episodes. But this time, the series is dealing with all new monsters.

For the first time, Fox has released a new promo for The X-Files miniseries that draws its footage from beyond the first episode of the revival. It still plays its cards to the vest regarding what the new monsters look like, but that is one creepy looking little girl in there…

David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson are back as Agents Mulder and Scully for the six episode revival. They are also joined by several other stars from the original X-Files, including Mitch Pileggi as Walter Skinner, Annabeth Gish as Monica Reyes, Bruce Harwood as John Fitzgerald Byers, Tom Braidwood as Melvin Frohike, Dean Haglund as Richard “Ringo” Langly, and William B. Davis as the Cigarette Smoking Man, one of the greatest villains in TV history!

Series creator Chris Carter is writing three episodes of The X-Files revival, with the other three being handled by some of the original series’ best writers: Glen Morgan, Darin Morgan and James Wong.

The X-Files officially returns to Fox on Sunday, January 24, 2016 after the NFC Championship game.
