Vancouver Fringe Festival Starts Today

The Vancouver Fringe Festival gets started today, and opening day of the event includes appearances by Wonderheads, Tanga, Tonye, and Fringe-For-All.

Organizers say more than 700 performances will take place by 89 artists over the 11 days of the Fest. Visitors can check out exclusive, never-before-seen pieces from Wonderheads and their 2015 Fringe guest artists, dance it up with award winners Tanga and Fringe star Tonye Aganaba, and meet 2015 Fringe artists, alumni, and other Fringers while enjoying appetizers and libations from Emelle’s, Dockside Restaurant, and The Keg Granville Island, The Liberty Distillery, Big Rock Brewery, Barefoot Wine & Bubbly.

Fringe-For-All is a fast and furious preview event where artists perform two minute teasers for their upcoming shows. Host David C. Jones wrangles as many artists as he can into two hours today at 10pm at Performance Works.

The Vancouver Fringe Festival runs from September 10-20.
