Sergio Aguero Stops Match to Help Everton Fan Having an Epileptic Seizure

Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero called for a time-out in the club’s match against Everton this past weekend, after an Everton fan fell ill on the sidelines.

Man City were gearing up to take a corner when Aguero and Everton’s Seamus Coleman called for security to tend to the fan, who it was later discovered had suffered an epileptic seizure in the stands.

Discussing the incident on Twitter after the match, Aguero tweeted: “Regarding notifying about the supporter who became indisposed, I just did what anyone would have.”

He continued: “I was worried but I found out that he was luckily treated in time and is well. My best wishes on his recovery.”

Everton later posted an update on the fan’s health, writing: “We’re told the supporter who was taken ill in the first minute of today’s game, which you may have seen on TV coverage, was treated at the stadium after having an epileptic fit before going to hospital as a precaution. We send our best wisher for a speedy recovery.”

The fan was stretchered away by medical staff after the referee was informed of the incident by Aguero and Coleman. Man City went on to win the match 2-0.
