Watch Kendrick Perform ‘These Walls’ Alongside Live-Action Painter on Ellen

Continuing on his quest of ubiquitous domination, Kendrick Lamar appeared on Ellen on Wednesday (May 27) to perform a powerfully badass version of his smooth new jam “These Walls”.

The Bonnaroo-headlining rapper, who released his latest album To Pimp A Butterfly in March, performed the cut backed by a couple dancing and an artist painting the entire performance from side-stage. Weird shit, right?

Earlier this month, prior to headlining Sasquatch, Lamar was honored with the ‘Generational Icon’ award by the State of California and State Senator Isadore Hall III. He gave a speech at a ceremonial event, discussing the importance of supporting the community.

Ever the entrepreneurial hustler, Kendrick recently partnered with health food company Sweetgreen for a new salad called ‘Beets Don’t Kale My Vibe’. No, not kidding. The salad chain is selling the product this month as a clever run-up promo to their Sweetlife Festival, which takes place this weekend in Maryland from May 30-31.
